Email Gate is a pair of Gutenberg blocks that hide page content behind a simple email-entry overlay — perfect for delivering freebies, gating subscriber-only resources, or limiting access to specific lead-magnet pages.
Two blocks, two access models
- Email Gate (Simple) — Free. Validates email format and lets the visitor through. No data is stored, no integrations required. Ideal for low-friction freebie pages where you want to capture intent without blocking visitors who haven’t subscribed yet.
- Email Gate (FluentCRM) — Premium. Checks the entered address against your FluentCRM subscriber list and only unlocks the page if there’s a match. Optionally require a specific tag (great for paid-tier or course-cohort access) and require active-subscriber status. If the email doesn’t match, visitors see a friendly fallback message with a sign-up link you control.

- Designed to integrate visually with Automatic.css (ACSS) but ships with fallback styling so it looks good out of the box on any theme.
- Cloudflare/CDN-aware rate limiting — protects against email-enumeration attempts even when your site sits behind a proxy.
- Lives entirely inside the block editor. No shortcodes, no separate settings pages to memorize.
- Self-contained: works on any WordPress 6.1+ install. Doesn’t require any other plugins for the Simple block; only needs FluentCRM (free) for the premium block.
